I bought a spare Mattel Arkham Origins Batman loose because the design is my favourite one for the Batman character to date and it seemed like a useful base for a tweaked version of that look. My friend suggested that I use that figure to make a Batman vs. Predator Batman. I also came across this piece of artwork by dartbaston on DeviantArt which was his version of the Dark Knight Returns Batsuit Batman dons to fight Superman in the story. So for this custom, I combined aspects of both designs, building onto what was already there in the Arkham Origins base figure.

The head and lower arms were from a Mattel Az-Bats. For the head, I sanded off the dot on the helmet and sculpted vents onto the sides. With the lower arms, I cut off the fins/spikes on the arms, trimmed each one and re-attached them in a more traditional configuration. The kneepads were also from Az-Bats, they were the things around his wrists that I removed and opened up. I sculpted additional armour around Batman's midsection and took the shoulder pads from a DC Direct Flashpoint Wonder Woman. The cape was from an Injustice Batman, with scallops cut into the bottom of it. I painted everything up, primarily using a gunmetal colouration.
