Super Sayin Goku and Vegeta (Dragonball Z) Custom Action Figure
Custom #:57371
Name:Super Sayin Goku and Vegeta
Contest:Dynamic Duos
Custom Type:Action Figure
Toy Series:Dragonball Z
Creator:WayneTech Customs
Date Added:January 15, 2014
Base Figure:Wolverine & Cyclops
Height:3.75 inches
So I found some old DBZ action figures last week and was inspired to redo them due to the fact the the only articulation in them was a straight arm movement (lame :p). They were originally a 4.5 inch figure so finding a body match was challenging until I remembered about these marvel guys I had. For Goku I used Apoxie to sculpt the pants and did a full repaint.
Added bonus: Cyclops's signature finger pose worked perfectly for Goku's "Instant Transmission" technique. :)

Vegeta was more of a rush project to get it submitted in time; only a few additions of Apoxie to wolverine was done and a repaint plus claw removal (I kind of wanted to keep them on Vegeta but this isn't the fusion contest).

If you didn't know: When Vegeta first arrived on Earth to conquer, he took on the fight of his life with Goku. Eventually he was beaten and retreated only to later become the best of friends & family with Goku. Ever since there has been a challenge among them to become the strongest Sayin (or person) in the universe!!!

Excellent job on this Saiyan pair! The slightly oversized heads on the MU base bodies works, as that goes well with the ol' disproportionately large noggin thing many anime/manga artists, including Akira Toriyama, have going on.
