Base: Sandtrooper black series Lots of paint / sculpt/ dremeling This zombie trooper stands about 6 inches tall and is in scale with all of the other Star Wars Black Series, Marvel Legends and DC Unlimited figures. He is armored in his traditional white armor but it is heavily damaged with scrapes, breaks, cuts, holes, bites, etc. The zombie trooper has suffered from a bite to his left arm, blaster shots, and other damage to his body and armor. The helmet is completely removable and reveals his zombie undead head under it. It is fully articulated on the head joint. He can look up, down, left or right like any other high quality figure. The helmet’s front plate was broken away and it allows for him to eat and for you to see him under the helmet, while it’s still on his head. As you can see, the figure is covered in a lot of fresh blood. The blood and gore detail to the bite wound area, mouth, and injured parts use a new paint technique that makes the blood look wet and fresh no matter what. His armor is damaged in various spots but is most noticeable in the area of his right leg where he used “duct tape” to piece the leg armor and boot back together and on the back plating that connects to the left shoulder. One thing that is missing from the stormtrooper figures is the canister detonator on his rear belt. That was added to make him more authentic. Paint details were added to highlight the decay, grime, blood and gore that are featured. The figure was hand painted using ,Citadel, Model Masters, Formula P3 and other high quality paints. Additional damage to the armor was added to the plating and helmet to reflect what would be his look after being infected with a zombie virus. There is a ton of detail to the sculpt so repainting, dry brushing, washes, and advanced paint techniques were done to make the line work pop. Some areas are glossy, some flat and some are metallic. He was given a heavy black wash and small amounts of dry brushing to make the suit look more lived in and not pristine. I always believed in a lived in universe and not one where things look like they came off the assembly line, just like George Lucas envisioned. The Death Trooper looks like it’s been through some battles before and after being contaminated. He still needed weapons!! He is equipped with his standard pistol that he carries out of habit. He may not use it but it’s still there while he spreads the virus to other inhabitants of the Star Wars Universe. ![]() |
