I know I said no more mermaids for awhile, but technically this is a merman.
This is Triton, no not Ariel's father King Triton, but Triton son of Poseidon.
According to myth Triton was a rather lusty guy so Syrena and Ariel will have to watch their fins.
Made using a Namor body, Blackbeard head and super sculpey. I wanted him to look a bit like a surfer and his tail to be a sort of fish/dolphin hybrid.

Hope you guys like and thanks for viewing.

Ten stars for creativity! Cannot wait to see Ursula vs Ariel in a picture. Love the texture on the fin portion, is each scale done individually?

Thank you so much I have had the idea of creating an Ursula for ages, was thinking of having her join forces with my Davy Jones figure. She is in the pipe line for a creation, but am thinking of making a Rusalka next, or a new diorama. The scales I do by lightly pressing a piece of netting into the clay, I love the effect and have used it on my Ariel and Syrena figures.

Wow the netting sounds like genius to me. I am getting lots of fun textures out of leather stamping tools, they are expensive but I got a huge set second-hand, many have scale or sea-shell like shapes that imprint great into sculpey and air-epoxies (don't have air epoxy right now, have not moved my fodder n supplies to my new place yet, also working great to imprint into pc marine and jb water weld). Also using a lot of detail carving tools to clean and prep my sculpts. Thanks for the great tip!

Thank you so much . I like to try and do things that are a bit different and that you don't see figures of very often. I am really glad you appreciate it.
