A custom figure inspired by the "Hot Blast" Terminator from the Kenner Terminator 2 Future War line. I didn't like the name of the figure so I prefer just to call it the Future War Gold Terminator. There was also an Endoskeleton version called the "Metal Mash" Terminator. These were apparently meant to be upgraded T-800s of some sort as the Endoskeletons were gold and black rather than chrome. I made this figure using parts from a NECA Tanker Pursuit T-800 and McFarlane Final Battle T-850. This figure was pretty easy to put together. The only modding that required tools was making the NECA head cast and right hand work with the McFarlane body and adding some damage to the legs both of which were done with a rotary tool (the McFarlane body fit with the NECA legs without needing any tools or even being heated for that matter). The original Kenner figure was equipped with a water canon (according to the figure's profile, the weapon fired something akin to molten steel). I decided to keep that concept and equipped him with a gun I made from a Star Wars blaster and sculpted the flames from Aves Studio's Apoxie (the gun was originally meant for a Kenner Homage Ripley, but I've scrapped that project for now). I omitted the backpack because I wasn't too fond of it and didn't want the figure to be too top heavy. Painted using Citadel Paints. Please wait... |
