Any fans of Hawkguy here? I gotta tell ya, never was a fan of his until I picked up the Matt Fraction/David Aja book. Man, it's so good! It's so good that it makes every other Hawkeye appearance in comics totally lame and douchey. Same goes for his current costume, which always looks bad in my opinion. I see a lot of good ideas but they're always executed poorly. So I had to go for it myself, you know? Here's my take on the modern look of Hawkguy (note the back strap holding his quiver, that's the best part).

Recipe goes as follows:
head - DCC New 52 Aquaman
torso and shoulder joints - Mattel WWE Air Borne
arms - DCD Batman Inc. Bats
legs - NECA Prometheus David
bow and quiver - Marvel Select Avengers Hawkeye
arrow - custom made from different parts

As always, he's painted with a lot of shades and colors. My current shading idealogy is to use many almost identical shades of a certain color to get a very realistic effect. It almost fools you to look twice because at first you're not sure if there's any shading at all even though it looks like there may be some. So yeah, a bunch of grays, blacks and purples. And glossy parts, too.
