I love just about any new figure line that comes out…So you know I had to pick up the McFarlane Assassin’s Creed line. McFarlane sculpts have always been awesome in my opinion and they are FINALLY coming around on articulation.
First I bought EDWARD KENWAY and was spoiled – Removable Hood, great articulation, cool accessories.
So then I bought the others and wasn’t as impressed. If there’s one thing I hate is accessories that SHOULD be removable but aren’t or articulation that is there but can’t be used.
So these are really more what I call “Quick Fixes” than customs…
I bought CONNER and removed the hood and had to completely sculpt his hair, I cut away the bottom of his coat for articulation below the waist.
For RATONHNHAKÉ:TON I removed his wolf hood and sculpted hair.
For HAYTHAM KENWAY I removed his hat and sculpted in the hair and then boiled and flared his coat so that he has below the waist articulation (I might get another CONNER and try bending the coat in this method to see how it works).
For BENJAMIN HORNIGOLD I just removed his jacket and repainted him so that I could have a version without a coat (I will sand down the sleeves later at some point).
BTW – The hats/hoods I removed can now go back on (just had to cut off some pegs in the hoods/hats)
