I started with the ASM2 Movie Spiderman and sanded down all the scale texture on him. I then grafted some hips from Superior Spidey onto him to get rid of the enormous gaps in the hips. I also hated the shoulders so I made casts of the shoulder cups from Hasbro's figure and cut those to size to attach on top of the reshaped shoulder cups. With some sculpting on the shoulder area, it looks much more pleasing and still functions properly. The head is a cast of the McFarlane Spidey and the hands and feet were a mix and mash of different Toybiz Spidey parts attached to the Hasbro figure's feet/hands. I felt the articulated toes were a must as well as some hands in other poses. The original figure's torso seemed way too boxy so I did some reshaping to fix that. The spider emblem on the pectoral area was resculpted slightly to give it a more comic feel. Additional sculpting on the back and some very careful dremeling/sanding on the front to remove the movie spider emblem's legs and etch some web lines in there just about got this figure ready for paint.
