When Mattel released their New 52 Superman figure my first thought was that the head looked a lot more like Mon-El than Clark. So I've had the plan for this figure in the back of my mind for a couple years now but figured Mattel would make him eventually, especially after the Legion box set. Mon-El seemed like the perfect combination of easy paint scheme and moderate new tooling required for the Infinite Earths sub, right? Guess not. So, now that 4H style DCUC figures seem finished, I can start doing some of the characters I've put off under the misguided assumption Mattel would make them eventually. Plus, after all the work that went into my Sgt. Rock custom I wanted to make a figure that didn't require too much sculpting, parts, or emblem work. Mon-El was assembled using the torso of Dr. Mid-Nite with the chest and skirt modified, a standard DCUC cape modified, some Flash lower legs, and Alan Scott's arms. Nothing terribly complicated but when combined I think makes for the perfect representation of the character. Long live the Legion! Thanks for looking! ![]() |
