A man known by many names Ahwehota, Windrunner, Whip Whirlwind, Lightning, Bluestreak, Quicksilver, and Buckshot. The man who would become known as Max Mercury was originally a scout in the US military during the 1830's. "Friend of the local Indian tribes, he was shocked and dismayed to find them massacred on the orders of his commanding officer. Enchanted by a dying Indian shaman, he gained super-speed. In the years that followed, he became known to the Indians as Ahwehota ("He Who Runs Beyond The Wind"), and to everyone else as Windrunner." Also known as the Zen Master of the Speed, Max has frequently attempted to enter the Speed Force and has been bounced out into future time periods. During World War II Max fought alongside the All-Star Squadron under the codename Quicksilver. In more recent years he mentored Wally West and later Bart Allen. Max was made using a DCUC Johnny Quick base with some gloves sculpted on and some Flash lower legs. The collar came from a DCUC Deadman(a design not exactly aerodynamic for someone called the Zen Master of Speed), while the head is from the most recent Hasbro Ultimate Captain America. Add in a fairly simple paint job and another Squadron member is completed. Thanks for looking! ![]() |
