Ares came to covet all of Olympus, so he struck an alliance with the Furies, persuading them to take a more ruthless approach. Realizing that he would need a powerful warrior to aid him to overthrow Olympus, he had a child with Alecto, hoping that their child would be the ultimate warrior needed for the task. Unfortunately, Orkos, his child, was not up to his standards, and was disowned. The Furies, however, saw potential in him and had him be their oath-keeper.
