Awesome custom!

You just reminded me that the 6" Mumm-Ra is one of the few customs I've ever done. Maybe I should upload the pics here just so I have something to show. I painted yellow details on the headdress and furry bits of the legwear, replaced the horrible rubbery bandages with fabric ones that drape (or blow dramatically when I hold a fan near it), did some rough muscle outlining with black pen (purposely a bit sketchy like how he was often drawn in the show), fixed the eyes, heated up the headdress bandages with hairdryer and pushed them down (why they were sticking up horizontally I don't know), and made a much needed fabric cape for him (little stiff as it's a black bit and a red bit ironed together with that weird fabric that is also glue but it works). I kinda shy to upload it though cos I'm a novice and there are so many pro's here.

Really nice work. Yeah, Bandai kinda screwed up this whole thing. Two 8" figures and two 6" figures. All very nice in their ways (except for RAAAGH-face 6" Lion-O) but a full line of 6 inch figures would have been ideal (since that size works well with the classic vehicles, I often had classic 6" Lion-O piloting the HoverCat or ThunderTank). Waiting patiently for some other company to have a go and do ThunderCats right. For now though customs like this are lovely to look at.

@Carnivac I see your point about the compatibility with the old vehicles, but I would have liked a full range in the 8inch scale they started with. I'm disappointed they changed to 6inch before they released Mumm-Ra, the release was good, but I think in they had scaled him up to be bigger than the first wave Lion-O and Tygra it could have been great. I'll have to make do with the 14inch Mezco for now.

Being a Thunder Cats fan since I was a kid , I was thrilled when they make the new series and loved how mature and addictive it was made , but felt betrayed (much like Lion-O) when they didn't renew it at it's best point nor give the toy line a chance to really develop , nice to see someone doing Amazing work in the characters we did not get to even see In the shelves , Great Job my friend!!!!
