This is my first ever painted figure. I've looked at the site for a while and wanted to try painting on. My sin had a cheap old avengers hulk that did not look very great, so I followed suggested tips found on google for painting and dry brushing. I added two coats of the base coat to start, using custom mixed colors that I made just eying them. The paint is a mix of testors acrylic and Vallejo acrylic paints. I did not primer or gloss the finished product as this was my first attempt and, to be honest, I didn't think it would turn out very good lol. After the base, I mixed the paints a little darker, and watered it down. I added this to each, putting on a little more than needed to make sure it filled the low spots pretty well. Once this dried, I went back with a lighter coat and dry brushed over each color. It's not perfect, and I have not been able to get the eyes perfect yet. But I think it turned out pretty good for my first work. Any tips for fixing the eyes or and other tips on the paint would be greatly appreciated. BTW, I forgot to take a before pic but was able to locate on through google. I don't have the web site to source it unfortunately. The after pic is just a quick shot with the flash on my iPhone. I'll pay more attention to photography portions in the future lol. ![]() |
