Gather Ye 'round, my fellow Midgardians, as I recount a little known tale of Asgard's favorite son and his foray into the world of music here on our humble realm:

'Twas years ago, in days of old, when magic filled the air (courtesy of Led Zeppelin), it was in the darkest depths of Mordor.........no, no no, sorry, I'm getting my legends crossed. It was during the tumultuous 70's when the rock group KISS was starting to make a name for themselves. Our favorite Thunder God happened to catch one of their shows in the legendary land of New Amsterdam, currently known as New York City, when a fight broke out amongst the band members backstage and the Guitarist/singer Paul Stanley, thence also known by the name of Starchild, stormed out proclaiming "Nevermore! I shall not be part of this band of motley fools ever again!" (or something to that extent). Thor, being quite the music fan, asked to visit with the band. He was granted audience, being no less of a celebrity himself, when Lo, what does he see but just three of the band members sitting around moping backstage.

"My friends" he asks, "What burdens you so"? The remaining band members explain to our heroic Asgardian, and he immediately suggests they allow him to audition for the open spot. The Thunder God then put on a display of guitar wizardry n'er before seen by mere mortals. Right away, the band exclaimed "you're in, buddy"!

Our newly formed version of KISS went on to tour the world. Music publications by the dozens proclaimed our favorite Asgardian Guitarist of the Year. The group sold out arenas and sold millions in merchandise.

But sadly it was not meant to last, for Thor Odinson, ever the hero, realized his true calling was as the protector of Midgard. Citing musical differences----Thor was more into Classsical Music---- he took his leave from the band, just as Paul Stanley came to his senses and asked the band to allow him back into the fold. Low record sales of your solo effort will do that to a guy. Thor, being ever so gracious and the consummate diplomat, convinced the boys to take Paul back so the band could forge their musical legacy, as it was their destiny. And the rest is history.

The recipe: MS Thor with the cape removed and hands swapped from a BAF Terrax Thor, and the head from a WWE Triple H.

This little tale was inspired by my buddies En-Ryu-Oh, and BANNER/HULK Inc, who reminded me what a good story can be like and that you have to keep playing so as to keep from getting old.
