Rocket Raccoon (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
I don't own any of the current RR figures that are out, but I am sorely disappointed in the lack of articulation they offer. SO here is my take on the lil guy. Made from a figma Tsuruya (although any figma girl would have prolly would have worked, but she was what I had available that wasnt part of my collection) She stood about 5 inches tall so to cut her down to Rockets size I cut her in each of her limbs, legs and arms to cut off an inch of her height. Each limb was cut down in size through the middle splitting them in 2 then super gluing them back together as a new smaller limb. I then sculpted over them to reinforce and create pant/shirt wrinkles for his clothes. sculpted belt and pouches from shield soldier accessory. I sculpted over her shoes to give furry lil feet. Hands were first Mr Fantastic hands but then switched to Nick Fury hands due to Mr F not being able to hold guns, so I went with the static gun holding hands. I glued said hands onto the figma lower arm and then sculpted over the wrist for glove cuffs. On his back I attached a lil magnet for which all his weapons can attach to to. his tail was made from 2 sections of gargan venoms tail shaved down then sculpted over with fur. attached to his butt was a wwe peg for which the tail would be attached to (removable) Finally, his head was the fun part, since most figmas have several faces to switch out I was able to give rocket 2 faces given she had 2 faces. sculpted the back of his head seperate from his faces so they could be pulled off to switch. smirky face and open mouth rabid look face. fully painted from head to toe (the figma joints were definitely a pain to paint) hope you enjoy. P.S. Still making him some more accessories not pictured. Please wait... |
