Imp is a shapeshifting sidekick to Hordak from the She-Ra 80's cartoon series often seen perched on Hordak's shoulder and taking delight in other Horde members failings. Hordak saw the light of day twice in the 80s MOTU toyline and most recently as part of the MOTU mini-statue series. Sadly none of these incarnations saw Hordak accompanied by Imp so I took it upon myself to reunite the two in plastic.

I used a Space Pig figure from the current Dr Who series which was great for providing trotters and a snout and being of the right proportions. Snout aside though I had to do much sculpting to the head and also sculpting the Horde symbol and hands from scratch, which were all sculpted in apoxie sculpt. Imp's wings came by way of a Krilitane figure also from Dr Who. I cut those down to about half the size. They are still much larger than the cartoon Imp's wings but I always saw my custom as quite interpretive - capturing the spirit of the cartoon character but with a design which could sit alongside the MOTU mini-statues. Finished figure with Citadel paints and he retains 9 points of articulation.
