I saved a half eaten Tick Talker purchased on ebay wearing a Dinosaur Neil T-shirt, which no longer says, "All in a days work" The head was created by using a hack saw to cut his head in half and epoxying a half a skull that came from a garland of mini skeletons from Hobby Lobby. I filled in the holes with some epoxy resin and sanded it down to size. I then cut out the electronics from its insides which made room for the rib cage from the same mini skeleton. These skeletons came prefinished and weathered. I melted the tick parts to allow it to fit into the The Steel box and had to adjust the height of the joy stick. The inside guts and heart were sculpted from sculpey clay and baked for 15 minutes at 275 degrees and allowed to cool. I used black sculpey to make the painting job a little easier. I repainted the burnt parts of The Tick with acrylic paint (blue, red, flesh, yellow). I used Johnson Pledge floor care tile and vinyl floor finish to get that glossy look. The antennas were made with sculpey little triangles laces onto a wire twisty from the super market and then drilled down into the head. The leg and arm bones can move in and out and around. I had to flatten his bottom to allow him to sit properly. I used Tamiya's Weatherine Master for the rust, gun metal gray silver accents, and silver accents for the Steel box. Added an eye popping out of The Tick's head which can be moved from behind. Strewed guts and gore made more realistic by combining epoxy with acrylic (3 drops) red and (1 drop) black.
