“Now, don’t let’s fuss. And please don’t call me ’clown’.”

Oh, "clown", how many nights did I see checkerboards in my sleep while I painted you? I've sworn off chess and checkers for a little while.

I'd love to take more credit for the design decisions here, but someone elsewhere made a killer Ragdoll using this Avatar Movie Masters Jake body. I'd tried using a DCUC Deadman body first, (even painted him to near completion) but wasn't satisfied with the depth he could reach in a crouch. I don't normally care if figures have double-joints at the knee, but for Ragdoll it seemed absolutely a must to look right.

So Mr. Merkel was made here with the Avatar Jake body, and some Toy Biz Marvel Legends Psylocke lower legs I thought gave him a nice boot look for his lower legs. And the ankle rockers help too. The hands came from a Hasbro ML Mystique. To give him his mask I basically New52 Joker-ed a DCUC Jack Knight Starman head by sanding it into a mask that I then glued on the painted Jake head. The hair was made by using Wikki Stixx (again, wish this was my idea too but it wasn't, and they work too well for what was needed). His shoulder tatters were made of InstaMorph that I then melted tears into by using a heated screwdriver head.

And paint...lot's and lot's of paint...to make sure all the lines looked as crisp as I could possibly make. Honestly, been working on this guy and Parademon for forver it feels. So be sure to check out the Secret Six Parademon custom I'm posting simultaneously with Ragdoll. And if you're a fan of the Six checkout my other past customs of Scandal, Jeanette, King Shark, etc.

Thanks for looking!

Loving this!!!! Great job!!! I know it took forever to paint the lines on my Ragdoll, also. It was such a pain, but the results were great. I used a Spiderman body on mine, but I like the Avatar body better. I wished I would have thought to use that as a base.

Yeah. I sanded off the muscaluture on the Deadman body I originally tried making him with, and he looked right, except without the double knee joints he just wasn't as flexible as I would've liked. I imagine the Sipdey body would work fine pose wise. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks. Painting was a cross-eyed pain, but well worth it for such a cool character.
