Hi everyone! Here is my custom Groot. This is just a bootleg because here in the Philippines, Groot is expensive and quite hard to find. Luckily I found a bootleg set and its very cheap. It has a limited articulation but I don't care, I'm a collector and I enjoy it without losing a large amount of money. :D

So first I used a black acrylic paint as a primer. Then I mix the brown, white, and flesh paint to come up with this color. Then painted green for the moss.

Just a simple repaint but I really enjoyed working on him. Hope you like him, comments and suggestions are well appreciated. Thank you and God bless. "I am Groot!"

Excellent repaint! I'm very curious to see what this bootleg line looked like originally. I'm happy whenever I can find bootleg figures that are close enough to the real thing such that just a repaint will do.

Its a big pack with all the figure in it with accessories. Limited articulation, lame paint apps, and LED light on their chest.

That sounds a lot like the bootleg sets that are sold by various vendors on eBay ; one of Avengers + Nick Fury, the other one with Spidey, Batman (lol) Cap, Wolverine, Thor, and Hulk. But this Groot is miles better than any other bootleg I've ever seen. I don't get why Hasbro allows them, to be honest.

I think they made it for some kids that cannot afford to buy this fig or other bootlegs out there. For me, this Groot is the best bootleg so far.
