To get warmed back up into customizing after my 6 month costuming project I decided on the new TMNT figures.

Found the newest Comic Series TMNT figures the other day and felt they needed a new paint job to bring them better to life. Whats looks like a simple black wash is actually a series of various coats to fully realize the mold potential.

Each figure was rubbed with black (a process where you add black paint then rub into into the figure with a cloth, then use a damp cloth to remove any extra). The second part is topping the rub with 3 shades of greens (camo, snot and warpstone). Finally giving it an actually black wash to fill in any missed gaps and slightly darkening the greens.

The same process was used for all components of the figure. I used a total of 11 paints (Flat Black, Ceramic White, Ruddy Brown, Bestial Brown, Camo Green, Snot green, Warpstone Green, Mephisto Red, Khaki, Stone Grey, and Silver.
