This custom was originally intended for the Animal Instincts contest. I took a Marvel Legends Mojo BAF and a Hexbug Spider XL and put them together. I gutted the Mojo, and took everything off the Hexbug that I could, then used Mojo's belly to house the electronics. I also opened and gutted the back of Mojo's chair, and used that to make a removable battery compartment accessible through the tail. Once Mojo was mounted and everything worked, I began building up the chair with Magic Sculpt, turning it into a mobile throne. Two large scorpion tails make the backrest, while another ten scorpion tails encircle Mojo and the computer panels he uses to control the chair. I also pulled out the stock grabber arms on the front of the chair, replaced them with the arms of a second Mojo BAF, which I then sculpted into scorpion forelegs, complete with pincers that open and close. I sculpted other details into the chair--like two figure on each side of the chair who appear to be holding Mojo, bringing up the wires coming out of Mojo's head to look like a pharaoh's crown--trying to make it look as much as possible like the royal chariot of a demented overlord. I painted the chair a combination of iridescent gold, red copper, copper, iridescent silver, and black, with red, green, and yellow accents. I also deepened the shading on Mojo to make him look a bit more evil, and repainted the mouth and face. The figure is remote controlled and walks on the Hexbug legs. Now Mojo can literally walk all over the X-Men. This figure will go up for sale on eBay on Sunday, November 23. For anyone interested, I'll also entertain private offers leading up to the eBay sale.
