Every now and then I hit a custom I'm really proud of. And this year I've hit a bunch. Especially these last few months. I love hitting those moments when I can't wait to share him online. And this week I've got a few. First up on that list is Steel. Not a big Superman fan, but I'm moreso proud of the time frame I managed to complete him in. I usually procrastinate a bit, question a detail or two, but with this guy I just went for it. I initially debated using an Iron Man body or making him a bit bulkier, but since I've fallen in love with making Superman characters in this build, I opted to stick with that instead. Went with Cap for the body, replacing the lower legs with Silver Centurion Iron Man. Sculpted up the bottom portion of the gloves, the belt, and the emblem, making it larger than my previous renditions. The hammer was an old launcher hammer with a dowel rod added for the handle. Head came from 25th Anniversary Destro with a Thor cape, per usual. Full repaint of gunmetal and silver, and he was finished! And I realized later that I have Eradicator on hand, so if I can fix up a quick Cyborg Superman and Superboy, that would be an awesome group shot. But, man I hate that Superboy design. lol
