I went through a lot of ideas and possibilities for how to go about making the leader of the Joes before I settled on this. In fact, I think I bought three or four base bodies to try before I figured out which one I wanted to use. I wanted to make sure Duke was strong looking and also had the right head. I actually ended up getting him to be pretty decently close to my reference pic when I finished I think. I combined a few different styles but mostly worked off the pic shown below.

He's a Cap 2 movie head, a WWII Cap heavily resculpted torso, Commander Rogers forearms (acetoned off the paint to reveal skintone underneath, and ToyBiz Punisher lower legs.
