Hi Realmers, With all the lessons I've learned from my first ThreeA 6-inch custom attempt, I've revisited my Deadpool custom and cam out with a much needed improved version. You might also notice a few nods to the upcoming 1:6 sideshow premium format figure. The difference is that this... is in Glorious 6-inch scale. Sculpt: I sculpted the face underneath the cloth mask so the fabric drapes nicely on the facial features. Base Body: The base body is a 6-inch ThreeA Action Portable Male Body. Articulation is fantastic and unhindered by the costume. Check out the video on Y0utu3e for more pictures on the kind of posing this guy is capable of. Clothes and Tactical gear: I made two versions of Deadpool's gear, one uses soft calf leather while the other is a set of repurposed straps from a ThreeA Grunt. Both versions have functional buckles and ammo pouches. The shoulder and knee protective gear are sculpted pieces and are removable and replaceable via really small garters. The holsters and the sword sheaths are also removable and interchangeable with either versions of the gear. I would say the leather is a more classic look, while the brown tactical straps are more modern in configuration. Weapons and Accessories: I hand-painted and detailed two desert eagles to mimic the 1:6th Sideshow figure. The Sword and grenades got the same treatment. Just like my 6-inch ThreeA Punisher custom, he can wield any 1:12 weapon as is compatible with and 1:12 accessory. Thanks for stopping by and do check out the video review on Y0utu3e. Deadpool is quite common around these parts but this was a passion-build for me.
And a basis for some upcoming customs I have in the pipeline
I can see that you are also into Ash Wood's figures
It's what got me inspired to combine Marvel with 3A's stylized toy line. Do check out the vid and you'll see cool stuff on this guy. Cheers
Thanks Fitz, cloth clothes are really a challenge and I had to do a number of cloth costumes until I got one that I was happy with.
Yes, he is in 6-inch scale and really fun. Check out the vid and you'll see more cool stuff about this guy.
