I've wanted a perfect Swamp Thing for a while now and was actually about to start down the long path of sculpting over a figure to make one nearly from scratch but then I saw Muthasucka's version over at the Fwoosh and realized I've had access to a perfect one all along. Basically if you take the DCD Nu52 Swampy and heat his back you can really easily pry it apart with a butter knife and then unscrew the pieces holding his wings on. I then heated and removed his horns in much the same way that you would a figure's hair. This left some holes that were easily filled in hot glue. (See photos) While these stick out a bit in the pics you really can't tell at all just looking at the figure normally. Next I trimmed his arm twigs and the tiny horns right above his eyes. I then brushed on three coats of progressively lighter green paint and he was done. I'm so happy with the way he came out and think he looks perfect! What do you think?
