Here is my second 31" figure customization and I am really happy with how it turned out. I wanted to replicate Captain America: The First Avenger so I started with a 31" New 52 Batman figure and removed the head. I cut the face from the Batman mask and also cut the mask to be able to reveal the nose. I then cut out the eye holes, removed the bat ears and filled and smoothed the ear holes and painted the new Captain America helmet. Then I took the head from the 31" Man of Steel and cut it to fit to the customized Captain America helmet. I used faux leather and narrowed tie-down straps, painted brown to make the chin straps and ear coverings. A customized paint job on the 31" New 52 Batman body, faux leather for the boot tops, shoe string to replicate the military boot look, a customized chest star, self-printed helmet and shoulder decals and a LOT of custom painted tie-down latch straps went in to making this 31" figure into Captain America: The First Avenger. Printed box stickers for the packaging and, of course, a shield Frisbee completed this project.
