Storm (Jim Lee Style) (Marvel Legends) Custom Action Figure
Custom #: | 70872 | Name: | Storm (Jim Lee Style) | Custom Type: | Action Figure | Toy Series: | Marvel Legends | Creator: | MikeMarvel | Date Added: | February 25, 2015 | Base Figure: | Storm (Marvel NOW!) | Height: | 6.00 inches |
Storm in her Jim Lee duds and by far her most iconic look(though I'm personally a big fan of her modern Mohawk look) Used the Marvel Now Storm with modded Jean Grey hair. Shoulder pads and cape from the Toybiz Storm. I extended the pads and screwed them and the cape into her back allowing full range of motion. They don't hinder her articulation at all. Sculpted the upper arms to replicate the puffy look she has under the shoulder pads. Everything was then wrapped up in a whitish silver paint job. Please wait... |

The white paint job is so boss. How did you get it to look so smooth but also have that gloss? I hope you don't mind me asking, I'm just starting out customizing and would love to get any advice from someone as skilled as you!
As far as the paint all I can say is prep work is key. Disassemble if you're up for it. Prime it white. Multiple thin layers. Let it dry completely between coats. You don't want to cake on the paint especially at the joints. I used a touch of silver with white paint to get that nice sheen.
