Hey all,

So a WHILE ago, when doing my movie masters MOS customs I really wanted to clean up a Faora and make a Nam-Ek, that 9ft giant freakazoid that Superman destroys Smallville with. I thought he was cool, a beast, someone that could be made imposing. Faora was a simple jaw-trim, repaint and cloth, wired cape mod.

Nam-Ek was a ML Thor-buster IM with some S E R I O U S sculpt work required.

He's covered in sculpt, head to toe, to get that Kryptonian psycho-looking armor. Used my Hot Toys MOS Zod for reference as well as online pics. I used a piece of fodder tube, glued to his mouth and neckline, and sculpted around for that piece of the mask. His shoulder pads came from an X-Men series Angel, and they also have sculpted heaped on them. I attached them to straps and glued the straps to the shoulder, so that his arms retain max articulation--the pads 'give', mvoing freely and do not in any way restrict the arms-- and that makes all the difference. The straps attaching the pads to the body have been covered by even more sculpt.

This dude is HEAVY.

I painted him in black and very weakly dry-brushed all over with flat aluminum to get that dark metallic, almost beetle-like color and sheen.

A lot of work, but he's in scale with (i.e. TOWERS over) the movie masters MOS figures and looks great with them.
