Genetically altered by Dr. Henry Pym, Janet Van Dyne gained the power to shrink to insect size, fly and fire bio-electric energy "stings." Calling herself "the Wasp", she became Pym's superhero partner and later a founding member and first female member of the Avengers.
I wanted to have a go at a classic first appearance wasp. I wasn't a fan of the costume but quickly came to appreciate and love retro 60s design.
She is made up from a mystique torso that was heavily modified to fit a storm ball joint as wanted to give her more movement. The upper body is storm asthe neck joint is perfect for her head to tilt back in flight poses. The arms are dorm upper with spidergirl lower and the legs are wasp ( shortened) combined with spidergirl.
the head is medusa and the costume,helmet,details are all sculpted.
the wings(removable)are modified wasp fitted with revoltech balljoints so they can swivel 360.
