Done in the style of the Kenner figures of the mid/late 70's and 80's, FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper from the cult classic television show Twin Peaks. Constructing the figure itself was really simple; I took the two figures (already done in the style of the old Kenner figures), removed their heads, and put the head from the Kane figure onto the body of the Vega figure. The gun accessory came with the Pulp Fiction figure, and the tape recorder was a discarded accessory for an old NECA figure I found lying around and painted black. Most of the real work went into creating the packaging for the figure. First, I used my scanner to get a jpeg of the original Pulp Fiction backer card, from which the plastic covering was removed. Then, using photoshop, I got to work trying to make an authentic looking design for the card. After a few scrapped designs, I found a look I was happy with, including David Lynch's name in Kenner font. I did not design a back for the backer card. I took the file to my local Office Depot to get it printed on somewhat glossy paper, and brought it back home. I then peeled the existing Pulp Fiction themed art off of the front and back of the backer card, making sure not to disrupt the shape of the cardboard. After carefully cutting out the design, I pasted it onto the backer card, and waited for it to dry. Upon drying, I put the finishing touches on the backer card; warping the cardboard, creating a few superficial creases, folds, and rips to create the illusion of a package that has been in circulation for quite some time. I then added a very bland price sticker to try and make it seem like it was purchased in a Kroger's store or something of the like, although in hindsight, I realize that the figure definitely would not have cost $9.95 at the time I wanted it to look like it was released, but I still like the effect. Finally, after gently distressing the plastic bubble designed to contain the figure, I taped the two accessories to the sides of the bubble, placed the figure inside, and fastened it to the backer card using some double sided tape, strong enough to hold the bubble to the card, but not so strong that I couldn't remove it without damaging the card should I need to make any changes. ![]() |

Nice work.
I am very close to finishing a few TwinPeaks 3.75's as well, so I am very glad others on here have the same interests.
