Poseable Collar- wire, putty, umbrella fabric
Poseable Shoulder Pad and Shoulder horns- putty and wires
Poseable Cape- umbrella fabric and wires

Poseable quad-hooks: wire and procreate putty
Gauntlet, leg armor, straps, spikes, all non-batista parts- SCULPTED

His suit, chains, and cape are like living extensions of Spawn. I wanted to capture how the cape was presented in the books, by using a material with skin-like texture. multiple layers of wired fabric, painted bloody red, was how I've always envisioned how I wanted to make Spawn's cape. It actually took longer to make than the figure itself .

Thanks guys! havent been active in making custom figs lately. just finishing up a few commissions then I'll be shifting to making statues, and possibly leaving the hobby for awhile.

whoops! It was brought to my attention that the detail in the recipe section wasn't complete. While waiting for the 'description' updates to get approved, here is the complete recipe for the cape:

Poseable Collar- wire, putty, umbrella fabric
Poseable Shoulder Pad and poseable Shoulder horns- putty and wires
Poseable Cape- umbrella fabric and wires

As the guy who made it, u probably see a lot of flaws. That high standard u have elevates this figure! For us fans, there are no flaws... This is the way mcfarlane should have made it in the first place w his toy line... Feels like a hot toy or side show level figure to me. Damn perfect!!!

What more can be said brother... you've literally made the best Spawn custom I've ever seen and obviously others as well can agree. No detail was left untouched whether it's his cape or chains you killed it! You already know I love the added musculature you did to him-it would make Dave Batista jealous!!! Glad you like my Spawn guys! The cape on some customs is often taken for granted. When I commisioned to this, all I had to do was go back to the time when I first got issue #1. It was his cape that made him stand out! All I had to do was to treat is as a character than an accessory

Maybe someday McFarlane Toys will make an ultimate Spawn figure- a super articulated Spawn with a multi -layered poseable cape
