Hey! Next up is a challenging take on an ol' fave. I remember when Bendis revised Ares and he was on the Frank Cho penciled Mighty Avengers. "I know a guy thats Thor and Wolverine together" I think is what Ms. Marvel said. So Ares was brought into Iron Mans splinter team after Secret Invasion rocked the MU. Bee customs did so well on his, I thought I would revisit Ares since I hadn't done one in years and theres quite a demand for him.

I started with modifying Pildrivers shoulders to be bigger. Took the chest plate from Terraxs' armor, helmet from Motu cast, Storm mohawk modified, Styrker ponytail which can rotate for dynamic poses, Thor hands modified to fit onto Venom forearms (the one with the articulated tail). I cut his kneeguards out of Terrax armor as well and sculpt spikes on. I sculpt his guard on the left arm, gloves details on both arms and hands, sculpt the armor and extended heel/ sole on bottom of feet. The belt buckle and loops are from Toybiz Dr Doom. Right elbow pad from Matty wrestler fodder and spike is from Hasbro Stryfe. The sword sheath with strap is from combo of coffee bag twist tie with Drax belt buckle attached. The sheath is from Icons Daredevil billy club holster. Various weapons from fodder bin. Primered, Airbrushed, handpainted and sealed with protective finish from Krylon.
