I have Been wanting to do a 12" Origin Captain America version based on the "The adventures of Captain America, Sentinel of Liberty" 4 issue Graphic Novel & decided to start it. I bought a Muscular Base figure, a Captain Action Cap costume (with Boots & Gloves, Red Belt & Vintage painted Circular Shield), WW2 Military Fatigue Pants, Black Belt & a WW2 Pistol & Holster.
I have the "Captain America - Age of Ultron" figure on order & plan on using the Helmeted Head on this figure. After putting the Uniform on the figure & painted the Pants Blue, I placed the Belt & holster (after painting the holster black) & added a couple of Black pouches. I Flat painted the Boots & Gloves (which were kind of glossy) & gave them some wear & tear look. Then Painstakingly painted the Scale mail a scale at a time.
As it was done with the addition of the Flag & pole & attached to a Diamond Select Magneto Base, my Wife said it looks weird with out a head. So I took the masked Winter Soldier head that I never use & set it on. My wife said how Cool it would be to paint the Mask to fit this uniform...making it an alternate version of Bucky-Cap!! So I Did!! I got to admit...I like the Look of it. Be looking for the completed Steve Cap figure once the Head arrives in Sept. Any Thoughts??
