This is Pyros, the Lava Titan! He is one of four elemental titans created from Disney's Hercules, and was the second figure I constructed for this series. He has no points of articulation since he is simply moving lava. His appearance in the movie is always shifting, so it was difficult to construct a form of him that would be universally recognizable. For this figure, I picked the head/face from his introduction, his hands/arms when he is traveling toward Mount Olympus, and his stomach and 'throat' from the scene where he aids in entombing Zeus with the help of Hydros. Pyros has a wooden internal skeleton made from craft sticks. He skin is mainly model magic to keep it light-weight, hot glue, and a plastic yellow ball found in my daughter's ball pit. I used the ball to craft the engorged 'throat' and stomach full of lava. I used melted plastic straws for the tendrils of lava by his base. Pyros has also been given a lava spew effect which is removable. This spew effect was made by melting straws and then combining them to hot glue. Last but not least, he comes with a burned and lava-filled Greek Temple that can be positioned at his base or removed. As always, not professional but made for fun. I hope you enjoy!
