The Stag is an unnamed entity that makes various appearances throughout the Hannibal TV series. It appears to Will Graham as a fully grown bull American elk. While it's only a hallucination, it bears resemblance to a mythological Wendigo, which is said in Algonquian culture to be a half-man half-beast monster associated with psychosis and cannibalism. Eventually the Stag takes the very shape of a Hannibal-esque Wendigo in Will's hallucinations.
Hannibal, with his cunning mind and eager evil, is often compared to the Devil himself, so gave him cloven hoofs from a Devilman Zenon and hands from a Psychogenie. The body is a GI Joe buck resculpted head/face and chest detailing. In the true spirit of a Wendigo, the antlers were assembled from various twigs and small tree branches then sculpted over with apoxie to reinforce the shape. Different shades of black hi-lite the ridges on his body, while pin-pricks of silver show his eyes.
