What was the process for making the jacket so form fitting?

Actually, that was harder than I thought, I made several attempts before I got to one that I liked.
Basically, I traced the shape of the figure over a piece of paper (as close to it as I could) with the arms positioned forming a straight line with the shoulders (in a T form). Then when the pattern was transferred to the fabric, the fold line was located in the upper part of the arms and the stitching was reduced to just the sides of the torso and the lower side of the arms.
That allows to have less bulk underneath the cloth and have a better fit.
Then, once I painted the cloth (it was originally grey) it seems that the piece was capable of holding its own shape and also stick better to the body.
The paint gives kind of a feeling of rubbery plastic, that was molded to fit over a plain body sculpt.
