This piece was made from scratch and was the second figure/model I had ever created. I had first created a Super Gudis out of model magic and extra parts from the series Ultraman, Toward the Future- or also known as Ultraman Great. It was a series made in the early '90s in Australia. They had never made a figure of the Super Gudis, so I decided to make another unmade character from the series- Ryugulo. He is a misunderstood shape-shifting alien who is very jealous. In the episode featuring Ryugulo, Ultraman intervenes during a jealous attack on the city, and makes him calm down so he can be with his love once more.

The basic recipe is a wooden frame skeleton hot-glued to stable perfection. The skin and base of the figure are model magic coated with layers of Elmer's glue-all. The head and arm scythes are the protective plastic coverings from packaging and the paint is acrylic. He is roughly to scale with the 5-6 inch Ultraman Great Bandai series, and fits nicely with the other monsters in that set. I've included pictures from the episode so viewers can compare the figure with the suit in the show. In the final picture I have posed him with Ultraman Great. He has zero articulation, but the suit in the show had very little movement as well, aside from 'moving' his head up and down to attack with the head scythe.

He's not perfect, but my daughter and I had fun building him. Thank you for viewing!
