Hi everyone,

During the console wars era between Nintendo and Sega back in the day there was two very popular ninjas for both systems. Sega had the game Shinobi featuring ninja Joe Musashi and the Nes had Ninja Gaiden Ryu Hayabusa. Both games were great but yet very different from each other. Ninja Gaiden was the first game of its era to tell its story thru cinematic cut-scenes and a awesome 8-bit soundtrack to set the mood. While there was a lot of action in its gameplay, the story-telling cutscenes of Ryu seeking revenge for his father and recovering two statues while battling cult leader Jaquio made the game feel more like a movie.

Here what I did to created Ninja Ryu Hayabusa


Head/ Modified ML Hand Ninja..sculpted a new hood and painted eyes

Base body/ S.H figuarts dragonball Super Saiyan Goku

Arms/ ML Astonishing Wolverine with some sculpt on arm guard

Feet/  WWE Tamia Snuka boots..sculpted ankle wraps and split toes

I then sculpt parts of his Gi, then drilled two peg holes..one on his back the other by his left hip to hold his scabbard for diplaying options. Sword and Scabbard are from ML fodder. Finally painted Ryu in his Nes colors and he was done.
