This was a really fun one to make. My original plan was to make a Gorgon, but I was having trouble figuring out how to do the snake hair, so ended up doing this instead. I couldn't think of a good name for her, so I'm just calling her a Snake Woman. The base body is Mermista. Most of her torso and arms has been sculpted over, both scales and costume. The plates on the front of her tail were also sculpted. The skirt was made from vinyl. For the head, I used a DC Universe Classics Copperhead with the face removed from between the jaws. I sculpted a tongue inside the mouth, and a little hat in the back to cover up the seam. The lower part of her tail, which also acts as a base, is a piece of clothes hanger wire that has been sculpted over. A piece of dowel at the top end fits into the Mermista body and makes a swivel joint. I gave her a spiked ball, made of a wood ball and dowels, on the end of her tail to use as a weapon. I also used a similar spiked ball for her staff.
