Savage Dragon was a figure I considered making ages ago, but never quite got around to it. The large upper body and smaller legs really threw me. And when a recent request came in, I was initially quite stumped. However, a few months ago I started assembling another character with a similar build. I had been playing around with ideas, trying to find something that worked. Decided to use the same approach here and I think it worked quite nicely. A bit of a mix and match, but when you make customs all the time you're bound to break a few parts. So, having what was needed on hand turned out to be simpler than expected. Took the upper torso, arms, and head from Gladiator. Sanded down the hair and the fin itself to look more appropriate. Lower torso and upper legs was from a Cap figure with lower legs from Spiderman. Added some sculpt to either side of the lower torso so it flow better into the larger upper torso. And some sculpt to the lower and upper legs for the jeans look. Feet were from a random Joe, topped off with slightly larger hands from a Thor figure. Full repaint, and done. Really happy with how he came out.
