This was Rogue's outfit during the time when the X-Men were based in the Australian outback. Marc Silvestri drew the comics at that time before Jim Lee took over. Silvestri's art and design of Rogue's suit is one of my sentimental favorites from the X-Men of that era.
When I saw the Scarlet Witch figure, I knew that it was just right for an Outback style Rogue custom. I removed the cape and tiara, added more hair, fists from Ms. Marvel and repainted.
I included some comic book art of Rogue by both Marc Silvestri and Jim Lee and also of Rogue vs. Ms. Marvel and Mystique by other unknown artists from Marvel trading cards.
She is a vision to behold. The Jim Lee version Rogue is one of my favorites but this one is also up there on my list. That Wanda base is PERFECT! I am letting you know right now I am going to "borrow" this recipe from you. Hopefully mine will come out at least half as good.
Thanks for your very kind words panchopantera! Yes, this base is practically tailor made for the Outback style Rogue, go for it and I look forward to seeing your custom. I know it will be very good!
