Happy new year everyone!
I made this figure for the secret santa figure swap over at the Fwoosh Forums.

Anyways, good ole Otto was made using a Machine Man buck (with lots of sculpt) with Iron Fist hands and a cast of Archangel (from Rocket Racoon ML set) head (again, modified). The tentacles are from the Sinister Six boxset Doc Ock, as is the base I included with the figure (Which is also slightly modified). I did try to keep it pretty close to the source material but took some liberties on the shoulder pads to give them some strength (I had issues with them breaking initially.) I also strayed a bit while painting too (the recipient requested he be in the colour scheme of the Toybiz "Tech Wars" Doc Ock figure (which was hunter green and gold).

The tentacles are built into a separate backpack that uses super strong magnets to hold it in place. I then drilled out holes on the sides to house the pegs of the tentacles and then super glued them in place. Initially, this was not strong enough to support the weight of the tentacles so they just drooped to the ground. I decided to remove the top tentacles from both sides and insert a 2 inch piece of wire coat hanger. I drilled a hole in the tentacle and the peg that was glued into the backpack. I heated up the tentacles and applied superglue to the coat hanger wire and jammed it into the tentacle. I then glued the exposed wire into the backpack. Ta-da! Problem solved!

All in all, I was super happy with how this figure turned out, and was really bummed to see him go!
