You will need 3 times the hand soap though.... Oh and more sleeves.... But you can give more satisfying hugs though!

So, I decided to give another tricky custom like this a try. I was afraid of screwing up, but it seriously isn't that difficult!

Tutorial:
Just measure out where you want the arms to go, dremel a couple pits on the plastic surface before you drill - this is very important. It is very easy for the drill to "ping" off to the sides and scratch the plastic beyond repair. Make sure to drill with a bit that is smaller than the peg width, for a nice tight fit. Your measurements need to be perfect otherwise you won't be able to fit the shoulders next to each other.
You will need to whittle down the shoulder pegs, to a uniform cylinder shape, they must be the same throughout otherwise you'll get wobble inside the hole. Test fit them inside the drilled out hole, and use a dremel cylindrical bit to widen it ever so slightly each time. It's very easy to drill too wide. At that point it's game over. Just go small to begin with and do it slowly.

I made the fit nice and tight, and removable, still with swivel intact.

So yeah, the shoulders actually look quite big, but not much I can do about that, so I went with it. But I decided to hide the connect with the torso a little by sculpting the torn clothing. I painted the sculpted parts to match as closely with the factory colours as possible.
The thing I dislike about it are the hands, but they were the only thing I had available so I had to put up with it like that.
