the Jurassic world T-rex toys were not bad just painted that way.
On the smaller one I did do some sculpting covering up the screws and holes that hold it together for a more consistent look.
these were a lot of fun to paint but also A LOT of work painting so many tiny details it is easy to get lost fixated on one tiny bit so it took a lot of stepping back and making sure it was good and that the color scheme worked well did a lot of photo tests as I went to see how they reacted to different lighting and to make sure the patterns and colors were blended.
used some photo reference of alligator skin and the movie t- rex and added the stripes and the brown color as a tip of the 1993 JP toy
