Filmation produced the animated series "The Adventures of Flash Gordon". Filmation also created the "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" series. Although the shows never crossed over, their main villains both Ming and Skeletor were played by the same voice actor. So, I thought I would create Flash and Ming in MOTU style and write my own crossover story.

Ming the Merciless, ruler of planet Mongo, wished to expand his power across the universe. However, because he failed to take over Earth, he set his sights upon a different world to conquer instead, the planet Eternia.

Ming formed a secret alliance with Skeletor. Skeletor thought he could use Ming’s resources to finally take over Eternia. After all, Ming was in command of the entire army of Mongo, an army which possessed advanced technology and weaponry. Skeletor gave Ming vital information about all his Eternian enemies. Ming then created the plan for a strategic invasion.

Together, they launched a devastating attack on Eternia's royal palace. The palace guards were outnumbered and defeated. The entire royal family was captured: King Randor, Queen Marlena, and Prince Adam. Adam was captured before he could change into He-Man.

Ming turned the people of Eternia into his slaves. He desired the beautiful Teela, and included her among the women in his harem. He planned to make her one of his many brides.

Only one man was left to battle Ming, the man from Earth who had been a thorn in Ming’s side for so long, the daring and heroic Flash Gordon. Flash had saved the Earth from Ming before. Now he must stop Ming again, save Eternia, and be the savior of the universe!
