I am loving the history lesson this contest is giving my kids (helps justify this hobby to the wife).
As with most who stood against the might of Rome.....This warrior from Gaul (western Europe) was captured and forced to fight to the death in the arena for Roman amusement.

Helmet: hand made from sculpty
The helmet came out a little hanky, but is only my second attempt at sculpting. Small amount of paint. The handle of the shield is a child safety feature taken from a Bic lighter.
