Used a Barbie 57 Chevy shell and modified it by cutting it down the middle and removing almost 2" and cutting 2" off the back in the middle the inside was built back up using 1x2 boards for support bars and then adding the articulated wheel housings using 2x arm parts from a Transformer Cybertron Metroplex wheels are from some random car the seat was remade using pink insulation foam and styrene the rear hatch was the original trunk lid modified to open in reverse. all the bits and kibble inside were random Joe parts and some gundam minigun parts
fins were made out of styrene with aves fixit sculpt smoothed in on the car to hide the transition lines rear taillights are pen caps and front grill was sculpted with aves fixit sculpt
Painting was the hard part I tried masking the design on the hood but I got over spray so I hand painted the design and then coated the entire car in a clear gloss I used Spastix Chrome for all silver parts windshield was cut down from the original and I added my own design to hide the seam line
as you can see the size difference in the pictures from the original its pretty darn big Turtle Van is next on my list
