I am REALLY proud of this one. I've been super into Hyrule Warriors Legends on my 3DS for the past month or so, which inspired me to make toys of the characters, starting with fish waifu here. The base toy is a Marvel Legends Valkyrie I picked up at a 5Below, with her details made out of apoxie sculpt and craft foam, I even made the silver scale out of a bead and some wire. Of course the thing I'm REALLY proud of is how I made the face. Although the Valkyrie figure was the same height as the world of nintendo Zelda figures, the head was proportionately smaller, so I needed to get creative to make sure Ruto's face would match everyone else stylistically. What I did was push the Zelda figure's face into a mass of super sculpey to make a mold, then mushed in the figure's face when it was covered in apoxie (using talcum powder to prevent it from sticking to the mold,) with a bit of tweaking I had Zelda's face on the figure which was easy to alter into Ruto's. That Valkyrie mold is REALLY good for customizing, it's easy to dismantle and with the double jointed knees and elbows it's really poseable, good for taking on Ruto's stances and poses from the game.
