Vintage GI Joe Marine with many repairs and a few non-vintage additions. The additions are things Hasbro didn't make but should have. Here it's long shirttails on the blouse with pockets, cut from ragged pants, because Marines didn't wear short shirts. Small correct-scale dog tags. Machine gun belts. And a T-shirt. The helmet was repaired with green putty then doused with Zap-A-Gap to harden it. The carbine barrel is coat hanger wire. The head is actually a 1970s doll with the flocked hair scraped off = stubble. How to tell vintage? First Joe stuff was marked Hong Kong, second round was marked Japan, back when those countries still made stuff. Not crazy about the camo-painted helmet, since it's historically inaccurate (it should be a cloth cover with camo pattern), but here t'is.
