This figure was clearly very inspired by the look of Batman in BVS. I wanted it to look similar but not exactly like it. The texture on the suit was the most fun part of the whole custom process. It was achieved by:

Step 1. Sculpt the muscles over the base figure
Step 2. Spread a thin layer of epoxie sculpt over the figure
Step 3. Press thick textured fabric against the sculpt before it hardens to imprint the texture

By doing that, you let the fabric do all the work without having to painstakingly sculpt the detail yourself. The forearms came from a BVS Batman Superman two pack of plastic statues.
